Answering 25 years worth of customers' questions about results-oriented sales lead management techniques is what prompted Obermayer to co-author "Managing Sales Leads: How To Turn Every Prospect Into A Customer." One of the best business books of l995 (Sales & Marketing Management, Dec '95), "Managing Sales Leads" is now in its second printing.  

In "Managing Sales Leads", Jim combines both his entrepreneurial experience running his own sales and marketing consultancy with eight years in a fortune 100 company to give readers easy-to-digest tips and age advice for profitable sales and marketing management.

As vice president of worldwide sales and service for a leading software firm, and as VP of marketing and operations manger, both for medical products companies, Jim has considerable hands on experience in rapid growth, highly competitive situations. Jim also served six years as executive vice president (sales, marketing and customer service) of the oldest sales lead management company in the U.S. with the largest client base, Inquiry Handling Service, Inc. (IHS), now part of Harte-Hanks.

As a sales and marketing consultant, Jim specializes in strategic planning (consulting and workshops), sales leakage analysis (consulting and workshops), marketing and sales friction analysis, sales lead management assessment, and speaking at national sales meetings.

Obermayer speaks regularly at national and international conferences and seminars, many of them annually, for radio talk shows, book signings and national sales meetings.
